I went to Cochise Stronghold today and did some hiking. It felt good to get out of the house. I did about three miles in / up to Cochise Divide, which separates the east and west sides of the area. Chief Cochise was a bas-ass motherfucker who hid his peeps up here and could surveil 100+ miles in any direction. Or so goes the history lesson. Regardless, there are a lot of cool rock formations and nice staggeringly scenic landscapes. The trail was barely strenuous– I did the six miles (total) in about three hours. On the way home, I settled for Miller High Life. Again. Beer selection is much better at, say grocers or liquor stores. But driving to such a place would’ve tacked an hour onto my trip. Screw that. I was left, then with convenience stores. Nearly every single one carries the exact selection:

1. The Miller Kit: MGD, Lite, High Life, Milwaukee’s Best.
2. St. Louis Pisswater: Bud, Bud Light, Bud Select, Busch.
3. The usual Coors garbage
4. Mexican Assortment: Tecate, Dos Equis and a couple others.

I can’t stand Coors / Busch, so I guess it’s time to try the Mexican imports.
