Waaaaaaaaay drunk at the Surly Wench on Friday night. The F.A.N.S.S. played for about ten minutes, then some rockabilly thing came on, then our video dept honcho’s group played. (Yes, everyone is in a “group.”) Think hardcore + upright bass for that last one. Fuck All Night Superstars were good. Like the Dickies meet Hot Snakes*….catchy and good!

Whiskey and I got back together in a big way. I drank like…maybe a whole bunch of it? The lines were long ’cause a bunch of alternachicks on rollerskates were in town to compare pin-up girl tattoos. So I started double-fisting ‘em, and by that I mean drinks. Sorry, ladies, maybe next time. Apparently I was hanging off of a support beam at some point. Oh, it’s not that glamourous. I just couldn’t so much stand up anymore. So it was time to get the fuck out and go home.

Since two workfolks’ bands were playing, I think the porn company had….maybe four different departments represented? My supervisiors are also invovled in roller derby somewhow, but the exact roles escape me. Good times. I’m happy to work with those displaying tolerable taste in music and dive bars. Lord help if I had to go watch some shitass cover band at, um, McMacGuillihoney’s Sportsbeer. Whatever those shitholes are called. Avoid.

Saturday found me in a hungover state. Los Betos was utilized for enchilladas. I think I spent the rest of the day staring at the computer and trying to decode / burn the latest season of Arrested Development. Hey, at least I got some sleep this weekend.
